WaterFire
WaterFire Providence is a multi-sensory experience that has drawn hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city. This series of bonfires installed on the three rivers of downtown Providence entices with aromatic wood smoke, flickering firelight and the enchanting music. WaterFire usually occurs on every other Saturday. 

January 1st
Celebrate New Year's Day FREE at Roger Williams Park Zoo
Head to Roger Williams Park Zoo on New Year's Day and welcome the New Year in wild style with free admission for all.

January - February
Toddler Activity Days
Bring your tiny tykes to Roger Williams Park Zoo every Friday in January and February to escape cabin fever and have a wildly good time together.

March - November
Gallery Night Providence
A free fun filled introduction to Providence's exciting art scene. On the third Thursday of the month, from March to November, 19 of the cities hot art spots open their doors from 5-9pm.


July
Opera on the Hill: All American
Take pride in American opera and music theatre. Post-dinner served at 6:30pm at VIA ROMA for reservations call 401-331-6060. Tickets are $45 for dinner.

Early December
Festival of Trees
The Festival includes a public display of approximately 100 one-of-a-kind, professionally decorated trees, a showcase of hand-crafted wreaths and additional holiday décor, daily musical entertainment by students from local schools, a festive holiday gift shop, an interactive Children's Activities area, and a spectacular Preview Party Reception, including live and silent auctions.

December 31- January 1
First Night Spokane         
The event seeks to foster the public's appreciation of visual and performing arts through an innovative, diverse and high quality New Year's Eve program that provides a shared cultural experience, accessible and affordable to all. First Night Spokane began on December 31, 2001 with thirteen thousand people of all ages crowding downtown streets. Since then, attendance at this community oriented, alcohol-free celebration of New Year's Eve has grown to over 23,000. First Night Spokane has quickly become a regional New Year's Eve tradition for many in and around Spokane County.
